Cranio-Sacral Therapy
A gentle, highly relaxing hands-on therapy developed by osteopath Dr John Upledger that aims to improve the function of the cranio-sacral system (this contains the fluid that protects the brain and the spinal cord). The therapist will learn about past injuries and trauma to develop a treatment to respond to the body's unique needs. Using a light touch, the therapist then corrects misalignments of the sacrum (back of pelvis) and cranial (head) bones, promoting a peaceful feeling and releasing the body's own healing potential. Once the cranio-sacral system is in balance, the effect extends to the rest of the body, improving your overall health and well-being. This treatment is gentle and non-invasive, and is suitable for all people — including babies, those with mature or delicate bodies, and in cases where other less gentle therapies are not appropriate.
Ideal for treating mild aches and pains, as well as more complex chronic problems. Highly effective for treating allergies, asthma, arthritis, birth trauma, back pain, colic, depression, dyslexia, headaches and migraines, hyperactivity, hormonal imbalances, problems related to an over-or-underactive nervous system (anxiety or depression), scoliosis, sciatica and stress.

Osteopathy
This long-established therapy restores the structural integrity of the body to relieve pain and dysfunction. After an initial consultation, the therapist will assess your posture and create the right combination of soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation and high speed manipulation to improve mobility. Very gentle release techniques are used where needed, especially for children and those with more mature or delicate bodies.
Ideal for treating back pain, repetitive strain injury, postural problems, sciatica, arthritis and sports injuries, or as a preventative treatment. Particularly helpful for pregnant women (after first trimester) and highly effective after massage of acupuncture.
For best results, exercise or other treatments are not recommended within 48 hours of treatment.
